Centering Black Girls, Welcoming All Girls.
Empowering Girls to Know Their Worth, Build Healthy Relationships, and Make Safe, Confident Choices
Domestic violence; including teen-dating violence, affects families, neighborhoods, and communities. Prevention begins with early education and support.
The Building Beautiful Black Girls (BBBG) Project equips and prepares middle and high school girls and young women with the tools to recognize their value, identify harmful behaviors and increase their knowledge and understanding of healthy relationships.
Through BBBG programs, girls strengthen:
Self-value and worth
Skills to navigate relationships with confidence
Boundary setting and advocacy
Confidence to embrace their identity, use their voice and make healthy choices
We don’t just talk about prevention—we build the mindset and skills that support it.
BBBG programming addresses the unique challenges Black girls often face and provides prevention-focused and protective factors education for all girls.
Teen-dating violence, intimate partner violence and unhealthy relationship patterns don’t start overnight—they develop over time. By reaching girls early, we provide the education and support needed to interrupt harmful cycles before they begin.
Through prevention, early intervention, and collaborative community support, we are helping girls build strong foundations and creating safe, healthy, and successful futures.
